Iwona Lewandowska is a graduate of the Faculty of Economics at the College of Economics and Social Sciences in Płock, Warsaw University of Technology. She also completed post graduate studies of organization and entrepreneurship management at the Private Higher School of Business and Administration, post graduate studies of marketing and financial management at the College of Economics and Social Sciences in Płock, Warsaw University of Technology and post graduate studies in accounting according to international standards of financial reporting at the University of Łódź. She began her professional career in 1997 at the Incubator of Innovative Ventures in Płock and between 1998 – 2003 she served as the specialist in Budget Division in the Department of Treasury and Budget of the Płock City Hall. Since 2003 constantly involved professionally in the acquisition of EU funds and the management of EU projects working as a Mayor of Płock Proxy for European Integration and Director of the Office of EU Funds and European Information, Budgetary Unit in Płock, where she was responsible for conducting and coordinating actions on applying the city and its affiliated entities for European Union Programmes, implementation of system solutions functioning in the EU countries and for the provision of services related with applying for EU funds by entrepreneurs. Since 2003 she was engaged, representing City of Płock, in realization of industrial and technology park in Płock on the organizational, legal, promotional and financial level, including applying for EU funds. Between 2005 – 2006 she acted as a project manager for the project “First stage of building technical and material infrastructure of Industrial Park in Płock”, granted from EU funds with amount of CAPEX of ca. 38 million PLN under SOP-ICE, measure 1.3. In 2006 – 2009 she served as a Director of Business Development and Project Management in PPPT SA being responsible for the area of EU funds covering such activities as preparation, implementation, coordination and supervision of the company’s key project of the total estimated value of 240 million PLN which was entered to the key investment projects under the Regional Operation Programme of the Mazovian Province. As a director she was also strongly involved in the company’s financial area, where she carried out the financial management, reporting and controlling according to Polish and international accounting standards. From 17 November 2009 she served as an Acting President of PPPT S.A., and since 24 May 2010 she is a President of PPPT S.A. Iwona Lewandowska is an expert and accredited consultant of EU funds certified and confirmed by the Business Institute in Kalisz and International Education Society in London. She is an author and coordinator of several dozen EU projects worth several hundred million PLN dedicated to entrepreneurs and local governmental entities under the available EU funding programming periods. She has broad experience in staff management and developed numerous of economic analysis for businesses and contributed to publications and programs on development of local self-government units, entrepreneurship support and unemployment reducing. She completed courses and workshops on business support, project management, procurement law and the functioning of industrial, technology and R&D parks.
